Isa takes charge at YEDC, vows sustainable energy innovations

Mr Abdulrahman Isa, the newly appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC), has pledged to implement innovative and sustainable energy solutions in the company’s operational areas.

The appointment, effective from Feb 1, was announced by Mr Olugbenga Adebola, Head of Corporate Communications at YEDC in a statement on Tuesday.

According to Isah “I am honored and excited to join YEDC as the new MD/CEO.

“I look forward to working with the dedicated and talented staff of the company, as well as our valued customers and stakeholders, to deliver reliable and affordable electricity to our service areas.

“I am committed to building on the progress that has been made so far, and to implement innovative and sustainable solutions that will enhance YEDC’s growth and development”, as quoted in the statement.

Isa, a seasoned electrical engineer and business leader with over 20 years of experience in the power sector, expressed enthusiasm about leading YEDC, serving over four million customers in Adamawa, Borno, Taraba, and Yobe states.

Isa, who previously contributed to the success of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, aims to enhance YEDC’s growth and development through reliable and affordable electricity delivery.

The YEDC Board of Directors welcomed the new MD/CEO, acknowledging the exemplary service of the outgoing MD/CEO, Mr Dan Shuaib.
